So far, so good. They can be a little confusing if you're not familiar with them but once you learn how to use it they're very simple. I really like this timer. I have other ones like this that can be set on or off in half our increments. This ones has 72 switches allowing me to change the light every 20 minutes. Because there are more switches the switches have to be smaller which makes them very thin compared to the other types that have buttons you pull up or push down. If you're having difficulty you can try using a small screwdriver to push the switches. I use this one to help me control the temperature of my seed starting heat mats and the 20 minute cycles give me better control than the 30 minute ones and help provide more more consistent soil temperature so I'm willing to deal with the small switches. Much cheaper than getting a thermostat. This one is fairly heavy duty to. Mine is in use right now and I can't check. It has a 2 prong plug and 2, 2 prong receptacles so you can connect two items to be controlled by the switch. It's not grounded. The way this works is there's a dial in the center that rotates as time passes. One complete rotation is 24 hours so it's a 1 day timer. There are switches around the dial. When the dial moves the switches move with it. Each switch controls 20 minutes. When the dial turns from one switch to the next the next the light will be either on or off depending on how that next switch is set. It's fairly simple to operate. First decide when you want the lights on and when you want the lights off. There are numbers around the dial like a clock indicating the hours 1-12 twice, once for am and once for pm. It's clearly marked.

When you want the light on the switch should be pulled away from the center, when you want the light on it should be pushed in towards the center at the time specified by the dial Next you turn the center dial to set the time. There's an arrow on the dial and you line up that arrow with the corresponding time using the same numbers on the dial that mark the pins. Plug it in and it works. There's also an override switch near the outlet on one side. This allows you to turn on the lights on even if the current time switch is set to off. The lights will stay on while the switch is in the override mode and will ignore the programmed switches but the dial will still turn. When you want to resume the program slide the switch back to the timer setting. In order to navigate out of this carousel please use your heading shortcut key to navigate to the next or previous heading.
